(A) All work done under authority of such permit shall be supervised and inspected by the Superintendent of Public Works.
(B) Immediately after the completion of the work done under such authority, the Superintendent of Public Works shall forthwith cause to be put back and restored and replaced in proper shape and condition any pavement displaced by reason of such work, and shall cause to be restored and replaced the surface of any public way which may be opened or otherwise disturbed. All of this work shall be done in such manner as shall be satisfactory to the said Superintendent of Public Works, and as will leave the said public way in a condition equally as good as before it was opened or disturbed under public authority.
