(A) Pre-tow notice. Notice will be forwarded by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the last known address of the registered owner of the vehicle, at the address that is indicated on the most recent registration for the vehicle as maintained by the Illinois Secretary of State or in the state where the vehicle is licensed. In no case will the Police Department or the Village of Itasca be required to delay the towing of the vehicle more than seven days following the mailing of the notice.
(B) Notice of impoundment/post-tow notice. Notice will be forwarded by certified mail return receipt requested to the last known address of the registered owner of the vehicle, at the address that is indicated on the most recent registration for the vehicle as maintained by the Illinois Secretary of State or in the state the vehicle is licensed. In no case will the Police Department or the Village of Itasca be required to delay the towing of the vehicle more than seven days following the mailing of the notice.
(C) All vehicles that are towed in accordance with this subchapter will be considered impounded. Vehicles that are towed in accordance with this subchapter will be impounded until the vehicle is claimed by the owner.
