§ 72.035 INSTALLATION; CONSTRUCTION OF METERS.
   (A)   The Mayor and the Street Committee of the City Council shall provide for the installation of parking meters, including curb and street marking lines, regulation and the operation thereof, and shall cause the meters to be maintained in good workable condition.
   (B)   Meters shall be placed upon, adjacent to or near the curb next to individual parking places, and meters shall be so constructed as to display a signal showing legal parking upon deposit therein of the proper coin or coins, of the United States as indicated by instructions on the meters, and for the period of time conforming to the parking limits of the city, the signal to remain in evidence until expiration of the parking period so designated, at which time a change of signal or some other mechanical operation shall indicate the expiration of the parking period.
