(A) Each person, entity, household or business having household solid waste or commercial solid waste for collection by and within the city shall place all solid waste (garbage and the like), in standard size (or smaller), metal or plastic type garbage cans or containers, or dumpsters where required. No 55-gallon drums or containers of the type or size, or larger, shall be permitted.
(B) These containers shall be placed at the curb of each residence, business or other allowable and appropriate place, not more than 12 hours prior to scheduled collection by the city.
(C) All containers shall be properly and securely covered at all times.
(D) No solid waste, trash or refuse shall be placed for collection in a plastic trash bag or other container except as set forth herein, unless first placed in an approved container as provided herein.
(E) Any other solid waste, trash or refuse of the kind not collected on a regular basis (the types of which are presently collected on Thursdays at special request), including, but not limited to, white goods (appliances), leaves, grass or lawn clippings, brush, junk, large items and the like, shall not be placed on street or curb-side more than 12 hours prior to scheduled collection.
(F) No tires of any kind shall be placed for collection at any time.
(G) No special waste or medical waste shall be placed for collection as household solid waste. No hazardous waste of any kind shall be placed for collection at any time.
(H) Any person having construction waste of the kind allowed to be placed for city collection shall first obtain a dumpster and place the construction waste in same. All building permits shall henceforth address the requirement of a dumpster. If, in the opinion of the City Building Inspector, a dumpster is required due to the nature and scope of the intended construction, it shall be a condition of issuance of the building permit.
