7-2-5: IMMUNITY AND NONLIABILITY OF CITY:
   A.   Immunity: In the performance of such contracts, the city shall have the same governmental immunity as when operating within its corporate limits, and should the laws of the state be hereafter changed in such fashion as to render this unlawful or impossible, then all such contracts may be canceled by the city council.
   B.   Nonliability: Every contract made by the city council under the authority of this chapter shall contain provisions insuring that nothing in such contract shall render the city liable for or on account of any damage done by reason of failure of performance, failure to answer calls or any other cause. If no such provision is inserted in such contract, it shall be deemed to be a part thereof by operation of law. This chapter shall be construed as an absolute limitation on the authority of the city council to enter into contracts under sections 7-2-1 and 7-2-2 of this chapter. (1978 Code §12-1)
