It shall be the policy of the City of Ionia to provide Municipal parks and cemeteries for the general public to use in a reasonable and orderly manner, without exclusion of anyone from a park or cemetery during the hours the parks and cemetery are open. In order to protect parks, park equipment and the cemetery property from vandalism, the Public Safety Department is empowered to exclude all unauthorized persons during the time the parks and cemeteries are closed. It shall also be the intent of the City to provide access to all park facilities for persons of all races and handicaps. If a City park is not handicap-accessible because of the topography of the City, free transportation shall be made available to handicapped persons to a park of their choosing in the City system that is handicap-accessible.
