No person shall commit the offense of larceny, by stealing or taking without authority the property of another, including any money, goods, chattels, bank notes or drafts, or any other form of property. However, such person shall be prosecuted under this section only where the value of the property stolen shall be two hundred dollars ($200.00) or less.
