(a) No person, whether the owner of real property, or a lessor, lessee, sublessee, real estate broker or salesperson, builder, advertiser or financial or lending institution, or any agent of the foregoing, shall refuse to negotiate for a real estate transaction with another person because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age or handicap.
(b) No person, whether the owner of real property, or a lessor, lessee, sublessee, real estate broker or salesperson, builder, advertiser or financial or lending institution, or any agent of the foregoing, shall refuse to engage in a real estate transaction with another person because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age or handicap.
(c) No person shall induce, directly or indirectly, or attempt to induce, directly or indirectly, the sale, rental or listing for sale or rental of real property by representing that a change has occurred or will or may occur with respect to the religion, racial, color or national origin composition of the block, neighborhood or area in which the property is located; nor shall any representations be made to any prospective purchaser or tenant that any block, neighborhood or area has, will or might undergo a change with respect to the religion, race, color or national origin composition of the block, neighborhood or area, for the purpose of discouraging the purchase of property in a particular area.
(d) No person, by threat, intimidation, coercion or physical force, shall induce or attempt to sell to any person owning an interest or leasing an interest in real property in the City of Ionia to sell, rent or lease, or not to sell, rent or lease, such real property to any person because of such person's race, religion, color, national origin, sex, marital status, age or handicap.
