260.01 ADOPTION OF MICHIGAN EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

There is hereby adopted the Michigan Employee Retirement System (MERS) for all of the City's covered employees. Covered employees shall be in accordance with the provisions of the MERS Board. Benefits to be provided employees shall be a negotiable item in contract talks and shall be in accordance with plans offered by the MERS program.
