The degree of flood protection and stormwater management required by this Title is considered reasonable for regulatory purposes and is based on historical records, engineering and scientific methods of study. Larger floods may occur or flood heights may be increased by man made or natural causes. This Title does not imply that areas outside the prescribed boundaries of flood prone areas or land uses permitted within such areas will be free from flooding or flood damages. This Title shall not create liability on the part of the Village of Inverness or any officer or employee thereof for any flood or stormwater damages which may result from reliance on this Title or on any administrative decision lawfully made thereunder.
