Any person finding cash shall deliver the same to the police department to be held for a period of ninety (90) days in order to determine the rightful owner thereof. If no claim is made, the cash shall be returned to the finder ninety (90) days after delivery to the police department. If a party or parties claim ownership, the cash shall be held until a determination has been made whether any such party is the rightful owner thereof. If the party or parties are found not to be the rightful owner, and no other claims have been made, the finder shall receive the cash ninety (90) days after delivery to the police department, or as soon thereafter as a determination finding no rightful owner has been made.
