It is unlawful for any person to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any building or structure in the city, or cause the same to be done, contrary to or in violation of any provision of the building code adopted in this chapter. Violation of any provision of this chapter shall be a misdemeanor. Each day during which a violation of the building code is committed, continued or permitted constitutes a separate offense.
