The prohibition contained in section 5-10-2 of this chapter shall not apply to veterinarians or governmental game officials, who in the course of their duties have deer in their custody or under their management. Further, the prohibition contained in section 5-10-2 of this chapter shall not apply to a Minnesota department of natural resources deer management program approved by the city council.
