The following city employees are hereby authorized to issue citations for the following violations:
A. Licensed peace officers are hereby authorized to issue citations for violations of state law and for violations of this code.
B. Part time peace officers are hereby authorized to issue citations for violations of state law and for violations of this code.
C. Community service officers are hereby authorized to issue citations for violations of state law and for violations of this code.
D Police cadets are hereby authorized to issue citations for violations of state law and of this code related to parking restrictions, expired vehicle registration, animal control regulations, and park regulations.
E. The electrical inspector, the plumbing inspector, the mechanical inspector, the building official, the fire chief, the fire marshal, and the fire inspectors are hereby authorized to issue citations for violations of the state building code, the state fire code, the city building code, the city fire code, the state plumbing code, the city plumbing code, the state electrical code, and the city electrical code.
F. The code compliance specialist is hereby authorized to issue citations for violations of this code.
G. The weed inspector and deputy weed inspector are hereby authorized to issue citations for violation of those provisions of state law and this code that relate to control, elimination and prevention of weeds.
H. The city forester is hereby authorized to issue citations for violations of those provisions of state law and this code that relate to control, elimination and prevention of tree and plant disease.
