(A) The enclosed standard construction details and specifications are provided to outline the town’s minimum standards for water construction. All infrastructure projects which are to connect to or become part of the town’s system shall conform to these standards. Construction drawings and specifications must be approved by the town and a written permit obtained in accordance with existing ordinances prior to the start of construction.
(B) The owner/developer is responsible for obtaining required permits and approvals from all applicable and associated governing agencies.
(C) Construction observation shall be provided by the town to assure compliance with these standards. A minimum of 48 hours’ notice shall be given prior to starting construction. The contractor is responsible for notifying applicable utilities to request locating services.
(D) These standards were prepared with the intent of obtaining the highest quality of construction possible and are consistent with accepted industry practices. The standards may be revised and updated from time to time in order to incorporate new materials and construction methods.
