§ 33.123 DECLARATION AND SALE OF SURPLUS OR OBSOLETE EQUIPMENT.
   In the event any materials, supplies, equipment or other personal property is no longer needed by any department, commission, board or employee of the city, it shall be transferred to the custody of the Finance Department Director or designee if no other department, commission, board or employee has need for that item and he or she shall declare it to be surplus or obsolete. If the surplus or obsolete item or group of related items shall exceed the value of $500, the Finance Director or designee shall obtain approval of the City Council before the sale thereof.
