§ 30.32 EMERGENCY MEETINGS.
   (A)   Notwithstanding anything in this code to the contrary, the City Council may hold an emergency meeting pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of Section 54956.5 of the California Government Code.
   (B)   If by reason of fire, earthquake, flood or other emergency, it is unsafe to meet in the council chambers, the meetings may be held for the duration of the emergency at a place designated by the Mayor, or Mayor Pro Tem if the Mayor is unavailable, or if he/she fails, or be unable, to act, by the City Manager. Notice of the meeting place shall be given to the members of the City Council, the City Manager, the City Attorney, the City Clerk/Deputy City Clerk and to the local media that have filed with the City Clerk/Deputy City Clerk a written request for notice of special meetings, by most rapid means of communication available at the time. The failure of a person to receive notice shall not affect the jurisdiction of the City Council.
