(A) The official seal of the City of Indio shall be the seal illustrated and depicted in Appendix A, and is hereby adopted as the official seal of the city in accordance with the design on file in the office of the City Clerk and as approved by the City Council March 3, 1954.
(B) The seal shall contain the words in a circular manner, “CITY OF INDIO, RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA” and in the lower center portion of the seal the words “INCORPORATED MAY 16, 1930.”
(C) The color scheme, as shown on the design on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted for all city purposes.
(D) The seal shall be maintained in the office of the City Clerk, and a copy of its depiction shall be available for inspection by the public during all regular business hours.
(E) The City Clerk shall have custody and charge of the seal.
(F) The seal shall be the property of the city. The seal may be used by the city and its duly authorized employees and officials on official documents, and for such other purposes for which municipal corporate seals are usually and customarily used.
