The Mayor shall appoint, subject to the approval of the Council, five persons to serve as trustees for staggered six-year terms. No public officer or salaried employee of the City may serve on the utility board. Terms shall commence on July 1 beginning with appointments made in 2020 and shall continue until a successor is appointed but in no event more than six months following the end of the term. No trustee shall hold office for a period in excess of two complete six-year terms plus any partial term for which the trustee might have been appointed. Trustees must be residents of the corporate limits of the City of Indianola.
