1. State License Required. No person shall engage in the activity or represent himself or herself to the public as engaging in the activity of installing, altering, maintaining or repairing any electrical equipment within the City without first obtaining from the State of Iowa an electrical contractor’s license.
2. Acceptance of State of Iowa Licenses. The City of Indianola will recognize a valid State of Iowa Electrical Contractor license. A person working in the electrical trades who has been issued a Class A Master Electrician license, pursuant to Code of Iowa §103.10 shall be allowed to operate as an electrician in the City. Class A and B journeyman license requirements shall allow a Class A or B journeyman to perform electrical wiring pursuant to Code of Iowa §103.12.
