(A) Any tree which has been individually designated by the town or which grows in the street right-of-way or on private property as authorized by the owner or placed or planted there by the town shall be protected pursuant to authority vested in the town by VA Code § 10.1-1127.1, as amended.
(B) This chapter shall also protect the trees within the Historic District of the town.
