(A) It shall be the duty of the owner, tenant or other occupant of building or lot in any area in the town zoned for business or industry to cause the paved sidewalks adjacent thereto to be cleared of snow or ice during any business day within two hours after the snow has ceased falling unless the snow shall have fallen during the night in which case it shall be removed by 10:00 a.m. on the following business day; and in the event of the presence of ice that cannot be readily removed, it may be covered with abrasives or other material which would make the sidewalks safe for travel.
(B) Where the premises in question consists of a building with more than one floor, then the owner, tenant or occupant of the street level floor shall be responsible for complying with this subchapter.
