If a street fails to receive the necessary two-thirds majority approval, the street may not be considered again for speed humps/lumps for five years. Upon approval of Council, a community may request a second speed survey, one year after the initial vote, and if the second speed survey indicates at the 85th percentile, the speed is at eight or more miles per hour over the speed, then a street may engage in a second petition and vote. If the second petition and vote fail the community must wait five years before initiating another request for a speed survey pursuant to this subchapter.
