141.08 JAILER.
   (a)    Full-Time Jailers. There is hereby established the full-time position of Jailer for the Police Department. The duties of said position shall be the monitoring and supervision of persons detained in the Police Department jail, assisting with meals and clean-up, and such other departmental support services as directed by the Chief of Police. A total of four full-time Jailers may be employed.
   (b)    Part-Time Jailers. There is hereby established the part-time position of Jailer for the Police Department. The duties of said position shall be the monitoring and supervision of persons detained in the Police Department jail, assisting with meals and clean-up, and such other departmental support services as directed by the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police may hire and train up to five persons in order to establish a qualified pool of Jailers from which persons may be drawn on an as-needed basis, provided that no one person work more than twenty hours within any one-week period. Compensation for the position shall be determined from time to time by Council.
