9-2-33: UNAVAILABILITY OF PUBLIC SEWER:
   A.   Public System Unavailable: Where a public sanitary sewer is not available under the provisions of this chapter, the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewer disposal system complying with all rules, regulations, standards and recommendations of any local, state or federal authority having jurisdiction over such matters. The city exercises no rights or responsibilities pertaining to the private disposal of sewage.
   B.   Public System Becomes Available: At such time as a public sewer becomes available to property served by a private sewage disposal system, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this chapter and any septic tank, cesspool or similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be abandoned and filled with suitable material.
   C.   Septic Tank Pumpings: Septic tank pumpings shall not be deposited in any manhole, cleanout or sewer opening. (Ord. 183, 10-24-1984)
