8-1-9: CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY:
It shall be unlawful to use or occupy or permit the use or occupancy of any building or premises, or both, or part thereof thereafter created, erected, changed, converted or wholly or partly altered or enlarged in its use or structure until a certificate of occupancy shall have been issued therefor by the City stating that the proposed use of the building or land conforms to the requirements of this chapter and with all conditional provisions that may have been imposed. This provision shall not apply to structures already occupied or used prior to the commencement of addition or remodel work. (Ord. 250, extended by Ord. 265, 12-2-1997; amd. Ord. 360, 8-12-2020)
