§ 31.38 CITY TREASURER.
   (A)   There is hereby created the office of City Treasurer, who shall be the chief financial officer of the city, responsible for assisting the City Clerk/City Administrative Officer in preparing the budget and accounting for all city monies and any other duties prescribed by law.
   (B)   The City Treasurer shall take the oath prescribed by Kentucky Constitution, Section 228. The City Treasurer shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, be covered by a bond in the penal sum of $10,000, or such other sum as may be fixed by the City Commission which bond may be a blanket bond covering other city officials.
   (C)   The City Treasurer shall receive such compensation as may be fixed by ordinance.
