§ 31.36 CITY CLERK/CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER.
   (A)   There is hereby created the office of City Clerk/City Administrative Officer who shall have the duties and responsibilities as set forth in KRS 83A.085 as well as those set forth in KRS 83A.090, and 241.160. Any reference to City Clerk, City Administrative Officer, CAO, or City Alcoholic Beverage Control Administrator shall mean the City Clerk/City Administrative Officer.
   (B)   The City Clerk/City Administrative Officer shall meet the qualifications and carry out the duties and responsibilities set forth herein, and in any related job description. The City Clerk/City Administrative Officer shall keep minutes of the proceedings of the Commission, and shall perform such other duties as are prescribed by law or ordinance, or as may from time to time be delegated by the City Commission by ordinance or municipal order.
   (C)   The City Clerk/City Administrative Officer shall specifically maintain the following records:
      (1)   Ordinance book, which shall contain all ordinances by number and series, including, but not limited to, all ordinances concerning appropriations, budgets, tax rates, levies, as well as general, regulatory, and penal ordinances;
      (2)   Codified ordinance book;
      (3)   Municipal order book (which shall contain all municipal orders and resolutions adopted by the Commission);
      (4)   Minute book, which shall contain the official transcription of the minutes of the City Commission meeting; and
      (5)   Index appropriate to each of the above books.
   (D)   The City Clerk/City Administrative Officer shall take the oath prescribed by Kentucky Constitution, Section 228. The City Clerk/City Administrative Officer shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, be covered by a bond in the penal sum of $10,000, or such other sum as may be fixed by the City Commission which bond may be a blanket bond covering other city officials.
   (E)   The City Clerk/City Administrative Officer shall receive such compensation as may be fixed by ordinance.
