It shall be the duty of the authorized city official to supervise construction or repair of sidewalks within the city. He shall cause specifications to be prepared for the construction of the various kinds of pavements and transmit the specifications to the City Commission for approval. All sidewalks shall be constructed in accordance with the specifications adopted by the City Commission and shall be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. No bricks, stamping or other surface treatments not authorized in the city’s specifications may be used in sidewalk construction.
