§ 51.03 COLLECTION LIMIT; PREPARATION OF CERTAIN ITEMS.
   (A)   Normal collection limit per pick-up per unit shall be three 20-gallon containers, or two 30-gallon containers, or equivalent per residence, and five 20- gallon containers, or the equivalent, per church. However, if unusual circumstances such as moving in or out, cleaning out a basement or a garage of the like, warrant additional services on occasion, the contractor agrees to make these reasonable additional pick-ups, but these containers shall be placed at the curb for pick-up. Containers typically stored in the rear will be collected at the rear of the house. This extra service does not apply to scrap iron, concrete blocks, building materials, discarded appliances, or other heavy articles. A resident may make arrangements for removal of such articles with the contractor at a fair charge to be agreed upon between the resident and the contractor.
   (B)   In addition to the container collection described above, leaves, grass clippings, and sod in 30-gallon or less bags and cans, and shrubbery and tree trimmings which are cut and tied in three-foot lengths and placed at curbside shall be collected on the regular collection day by the contractor in amounts up to ten additional container units per dwelling. When such additional garbage is to be removed, the resident shall also place garbage typically stored in the rear of the residence at the curb. Residents shall be responsible for ensuring garbage units are reasonably able to be lifted by one person and are contained in units sufficient to hold its content weight. If any resident abuses these additional privileges, the contractor will not discuss it with the resident, but will notify the City Clerk/City Administrative Officer, and the City Clerk/City Administrative Officer will be responsible for advising the citizen of the abuse, in conjunction with the Sanitation Department Executive Committee.
   (C)   The contractor agrees to provide services for the removal of Christmas trees each year on the regular pick-up schedule and the resident shall not be required to do any special preparation of the trees for collection, such as cutting to certain lengths, or tying into bundles.
