(A) The following days are declared paid holidays at the regular rate of pay for all permanent city employees:
(1) The first day of January (New Years Day);
(2) The third Monday of January (Martin Luther King Day);
(3) The last Monday in May (Memorial Day);
(4) The fourth day of July (Independence Day);
(5) The first Monday in September (Labor Day);
(6) November 11 (Veteran’s Day);
(7) The fourth Thursday in November (Thanksgiving Day);
(8) The fourth Friday in November (Day after Thanksgiving);
(9) December 24 (Christmas Eve);
(10) December 25 (Christmas Day).
(B) If any holiday should fall on a weekend, the previous Friday or following Monday will serve as the holiday to be determined by CAO/Personnel Office. The City Commission will be informed of these changes at least two weeks in advance.
