A. State Traffic Laws In Full Force And Effect On Washington County School District Property:
1. Property Owned By The Washington County School District: All streets, alleys, and parking lots on the property owned or controlled by the Washington County School District are hereby declared "streets" or "highways" as these terms are used in title 41, chapter 6a, Utah Traffic Code as adopted by section 6-1-1 of this chapter.
2. Penalty: A violation of this section shall be the same level offense as specified in title 41, chapter 6a, Utah Traffic Code and carry the same minimum and maximum penalties as the offense in said title; upon conviction a person is subject to the same fine, for said offense, as provided in the uniform fine and bail forfeiture schedule for the State of Utah.
B. Speeding In Parking Lots: It shall be an infraction for any person operating a motor vehicle in any area on Washington County School District property, open to the public for vehicular traffic, to engage in any speed contest, exhibition of speed, or speed too fast for the conditions in the area.
C. Negligent Collision: It shall be an infraction for any person to unlawfully operate a vehicle in a manner that causes the vehicle to collide with any vehicle, person, or object. (Ord. 2017-07, 3-16-2017)
