553.04 FLASHER LIGHTS AT RAILROAD GRADE CROSSINGS.
   (a)   If a train of railroad cars, a railroad engine or railroad car stops, other than for an emergency, in such a position or location as to cause the warning flasher lights to operate at any railroad grade crossing for a period longer than five minutes to the hindrance or inconvenience of travelers, emergency vehicles or a person attempting to pass along or upon such grade crossing, the conductor or other person in charge of the train of railroad cars, railroad engine or railroad car shall provide or furnish a watchman or flagman at the grade crossing to direct and permit motor vehicles to cross the railroad grade crossing in safety and without hindrance or inconvenience.    (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
