As used in this chapter:
(a) A “canvasser” or “solicitor” is any person who is seeking to engage in a commercial transaction, or seeks to solicit contributions for a charitable cause, by entering onto the land of an owner or occupant of property within the Village with the intention to communicate to the property’s owner or occupant.
(b) An “uninvited visitor” is any person, including but not limited to canvassers and solicitors, who seeks to enter upon the land of another to communicate with the property’s owner or occupant, and who is not known by the property’s owner or occupant and who has not been previously invited onto the property by the owner or the occupant.
