(A) Water furnished to temporary users such as contractors, circuses, and the like, or for such purposes as filling swimming pools, shall be charged on the basis of actual or estimated cubic feet of water used as established by the Water Department. Rates per cubic feet shall be charged based upon the rate schedule provided in § 50.14.
(B) Temporary connections to the distribution system (such as a metered connection to a fire hydrant) shall be made only by an authorized city employee.
(C) A non-refundable $100 user fee per meter request shall be paid before any water shall be furnished to temporary users under this section. Temporary users shall pay an additional user fee in the event a replacement meter is required as a result of damage.
(D) Damage to equipment. A temporary user is responsible for the care and maintenance of the meter after its installation of and until its removal by an authorized city employee. In the event that a meter furnished to a temporary user is found to be damaged, including but not limited to damage resulting from tampering, direct impact, or freezing, the temporary user shall pay to the city the actual cost of the replacement meter to be installed.
