(A) All applicants for improvement location permits shall, prior to the issuance of such permit, pay fees to the Department in such amounts as are specified within the City of Huntington Building Code.
(B) All applications for sign permits shall, prior to the issuance of such permits, pay fees to the Department in the amounts specified below:
On-premise permanent signs | $10 |
On-premise temporary signs | $10 |
Off-premise permanent signs | $50 |
Off-premise temporary signs | $25 |
Billboards | $100 |
Mobile and temporary billboards | $25 |
(C) The filing fees for petitions required to be reviewed by the City of Huntington Plan Commission or the City of Huntington Board of Zoning Appeals shall, prior to the filing deadline established for the subsequent meeting, pay fees to the Department in such amounts as specified below:
(1) Board of Zoning Appeals.

Special exception application

Appeal application - decision by hearing officer | $25 |
Amendment to previous BZA approval | $150 |
(2) Plan Commission.
Amendment to Official Zoning Map (excluding EUD) | $250 |

Text amendment to Zoning Ordinance | $50 |
(D) If more than one petition is filed by the applicant for the same property, and if each petition is to be reviewed by the Board of Zoning Appeals on the same hearing date, the filing fee for the second and each additional petition shall be $25.
(E) For improvements to real property for which a development plan is required, the applicant shall pay the following fees to the Department:
Construction of multi-family dwelling | $10 per unit Minimum of $150 |
Commercial or industrial development plan review | $150 |
Parking lot (new or expansion) not in conjunction with building construction or expansion | $150 |
(F) For amendments to an approved development plan, the applicant shall pay the following fees to the Department:
If the amendment constitutes a minor deviation | $25 |
If the amendment constitutes a substantial deviation | $100 |
(G) All applications for floodplain permits shall, prior to the issuance of such permits, pay the following fees to the Department:
In conjunction with a building permit | $0 |
Not in conjunction with a building permit | $25 |
(H) No part of any filing fee paid pursuant to this section shall be refunded to the applicant.
