(A) Except and as otherwise required by applicable authority:
(1) For each fiscal year of the city, the bond of the Clerk-Treasurer shall be $15,000 for each $1,000,000 of receipts of the Clerk-Treasurer's office during the immediately preceding fiscal year, but not less than $15,000 or more than $300,000 payable as provided by law.
(2) The bond of the Senior Deputy Clerk-Treasurer shall be in the sum of $25,000 payable as provided by law.
(3) The bond of other appointed or elected city officers required by Indiana law to take and file an oath of office shall be $15,000 payable as provided by law.
(B) The city may purchase a blanket bond, and/or a crime insurance policy, to provide some or all of the bonded protection required by this section and/or other applicable authority.
