(A) All work performed pursuant to a duly issued right-of-way permit is subject to inspection by city officials as authorized in § 100.01.
(B) For permits issued for the purposes of repair of water or sewer lines or taps, persons performing the work must, upon completion of repair, but prior to backfilling any trenches, call the appropriate utility for an inspection. These inspections should be called for prior to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. However, both utilities are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and inspections for work performed on an emergency basis may be made at any time. Inspections of routine repair work may be waived at the Engineer's discretion with prior written consent on the permit form.
(C) For permits issued for sidewalks, drive approaches, or any other work involving pouring of concrete in the right-of-way, persons performing the work shall call the City Engineer's office for an inspection once forms are set but prior to pouring any concrete. A final inspection shall also be called for upon completion of pouring of concrete and cutting in of any joints.
(D) For street cuts or other authorized work not covered in divisions (A) or (B) above, inspection shall be called for upon completion of the work.
(E) If, upon inspection, work is found not to be in compliance with city specifications for that class of work, the permittee shall take all corrective action directed by the Inspector within the period of time designated by the Inspector and then call for another inspection.
