The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized, pursuant to IC 36-4-11-4, to appoint two deputy clerk-treasurers, one accounting clerk, and part- time deputy clerks as needed, to be paid solely from funds appropriated for the office of Clerk-Treasurer. The deputies and accounting clerk shall work under the exclusive direction of the Clerk-Treasurer, and shall serve at the pleasure of the Clerk-Treasurer.
