(A) It shall be unlawful for any railroad company to run any locomotive, locomotive engine, car, or railroad train over any of the railroad tracks, where the railroad tracks intersect with a street crossing within the corporate limits of the city, at a rate faster than 20 m.p.h., unless there is a watchman for the railroad company watching the intersection, a gate which drops down across the street, or a red flasher signal device placed at the crossing to warn the public of an approaching train, locomotive, locomotive engine, or railroad car.
(B) It shall be unlawful for any conductor, engineer, or other person having control of any locomotive engine, car, or railroad train, to run the locomotive, locomotive engine, car, or railroad train over any railroad tracks, where the railroad tracks intersect with a public street within the corporate limits of the city, at a rate faster than 20 m.p.h., unless there is a watchman at the intersection, a gate which drops down across the street, or a red flasher signal device placed at the intersection to warn the public of an approaching locomotive engine, locomotive car, or railroad train.
