(A) All motorized equipment, trucks, and automobiles owned and operated by the city shall be painted and designated in the manner provided by this section.
(B) All motorized equipment, trucks, and automobiles shall have placed thereon on each side thereof on the front door panel lettering stating the department or service in the city in which and to which the motorized equipment, truck, or automobile has been assigned or in which it is being operated, and the letters designating the service or department shall be no less than three inches in height and neatly painted thereon. Where more than one vehicle is used and operated in any department, they shall be serially numbered, commencing with the figure one. Any figures used in the designation shall be of the same height as the letters used.
(C) Any motorized equipment or motor vehicle owned or leased by the city shall not be operated outside the limits of the county except on business for the city as determined in each instance by the Mayor or a designee of the Board of Public Works and Safety.
(D) Failure on the part of any officer, employee, or appointee having under his charge any motorized equipment, truck, or automobile to comply with the provisions of this section shall subject that person to removal or discharge in the manner provided by law.
