If herbicides are used for vegetation control, such herbicides shall be compatible with, and registered and approved by, all appropriate authority for use in and around watercourses. In addition, the owner or occupant shall maintain existing privately owned structures within or adjacent to a watercourse, so that such structures will not become a hazard or impediment to the use, function or physical integrity of the watercourse.
