For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CONTRACTOR. Any person, firm, corporation or association which shall engage as a principal in the business of entering into contracts for the installation or repairing of any structure, electrical wiring, electrical fixtures or other electrical work, plumbing, plumbing fixtures or other plumbing work, heating, ventilation and air conditioning work, in buildings or other structures requiring a permit and shall furnish labor in so doing.
