§ 70.02 ADHERENCE TO TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND DIRECTION; DESCRIPTION; EXCEPTIONS.
   (A)   Traffic shall be directed by officers of the Police Department by voice, hand or mechanical signs, or shall be directed by automatic signal, but officers or signals shall not prevent anyone from proceeding or standing in the manner required or permitted by law.
   (B)   However, in case of fire, other emergency or in a case of a parade or other concourse of people, traffic may be directed as conditions may require, notwithstanding the provisions of any ordinance. It shall be a violation of this chapter for any person to disobey or refuse to comply with any lawful order, signal or direction of a public officer or any signal from an automatic signaling device or stationary intersection stop sign pertaining to the control of traffic.
