§ 50.22 PRIOR APPROVAL FOR PRETREATMENT FACILITIES.
Plans, specifications and any other pertinent information relating to proposed preliminary treatment or processing facilities shall be submitted to the Control Authority for examination and approval. No construction of such facilities shall begin until the Superintendent has given written approval. Such approval shall not exempt the person from the obligation to make further reasonable adaptations of such facilities when such adaptations prove necessary to secure the results of acceptable waste concentrations desired. The approval of proposed facilities and/or equipment by the town does not in any way guarantee that these facilities and/or equipment will function in the manner described by their constructor or manufacturer, nor shall it relieve an owner, firm or corporation of the responsibility of enlarging or otherwise modifying such facilities to accomplish the intended purpose.
