§ 30.02 ELECTION OF COUNCIL MEMBERS.
   (A)   The three town legislative body districts are hereby abolished in accordance with IC 36-5-2-4.2.
   (B)   The legislative body for the town shall consist of five members and shall be referred to as the Town Council.
   (C)    Election of all Town Council members as well as the Clerk-Treasurer shall be at-large within the boundaries of the town.
   (D)   In accordance with IC 3-10-7-2.7, any Council members or Clerk-Treasurers elected in 2003 at the next municipal election shall serve a term of three years beginning at noon on January 1, the year following the election, and shall continue until a successor is elected and qualified. Thereafter, municipal elections for town offices shall be held during a general election. The term of office of the Town Council members and the Clerk-Treasurer chosen at the second general election following the municipal election of 2003 and each four years thereafter, shall be a term of four years beginning at noon on January 1, after the election in which the Council members or Clerk-Treasurer is elected to office, and shall continue until a successor is elected and qualified.
   (E)   Beginning in 2006 and each four years thereafter, the County Election Board shall conduct the municipal election for the town that coincides with the general election.
