§ 1-1003 CITY TO PAY; EMPLOYEE; FAMILY COVERAGE.
   (a)   Employee. The city will provide every employee of the city who elects to receive group health, accident, medical, and hospitalization insurance on the employee's person.
   (b)   Family. The city will provide coverage under the city's group health, accident, medical, and hospitalization insurance for any employee's qualified family members who files with the City Clerk in writing their election to have other members of their family included in such insurance plan. The city shall then obtain such coverage for such members of the employee's family as such group insurance plan permits. The written election constitutes authorization for the city to deduct from the employee's compensation such amount at each regular compensation payment time as will be sufficient at premium payment time to pay the additional premium incurred by the inclusion of the employee's other family members under the group insurance. The written election shall continue in effect until the employee files a written statement with the City Clerk that they no longer desire to have to have their family covered by the insurance.
