(a) There are hereby incorporated by reference for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structures the following sections of the “International Codes, 2003 Edition” as recommended by the International Code Council: 2003, International Residential Code; 2003, International Plumbing Code; 2003, International Mechanical Code; 2003, International Fuel Gas Code; 2003, International Fire Code; 2003, International Private Sewage Disposal Code; 2003, International Electrical Code; 2003, International Property Maintenance Code; such code sections being made a part of the ordinances and code of the city, as if the same had been set out in full herein, all as authorized in the manner prescribed by K.S.A. 12-3009 et seq. No fewer than three copies of the above sections of the “International Codes, 2003 Edition” shall be marked and stamped “Official Copy as incorporated by the Code of the City of Humboldt, Kansas” and shall be filed with the City Clerk to be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours of business.
(b) Any person violating any provision of such code sections shall be punishable as provided in § 1-116 of the Humboldt City code.
