905.09 DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC ON AFFECTED STREETS.
   (a)   Whenever the Director of Public Safety deems it necessary to direct vehicular traffic on any street in the City affected by any excavations on or near such street, the Director shall notify the excavator that uniformed patrolmen of the City must be hired in order to direct traffic.
   (b)   On any contract entered into by the City involving excavations on or near streets, the Engineer shall make the requirement of subsection (a) hereof a part of the specifications of such contract.
   (c)   No permit required by Section 905.01 shall be issued unless the permittee agrees to the provisions of this chapter, and the failure to observe the provisions of this chapter shall be cause for the revocation of such permit.
   (d)   The officer performing the traffic duty shall be paid the union scale in effect at the time of hiring. (Ord. 3-80. Passed 2-4-80.)
