§ 32.08 LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP.
   (A)   Firefighters absent from three consecutive drills or calls, unless excused by the Chief, shall forfeit membership in the Department. Firefighters who leave the city and no longer are residents of the city shall automatically forfeit membership in the Department.
   (B)   No later than March 1, 1970, all firefighters who are presently members of the Department shall be certified as Emergency Medical Technicians Basic (EMT-B) or its equivalent. Firefighters who fail to so qualify shall forfeit membership in the Department, and be automatically dropped from the rolls.
   (C)   New members of the Department shall qualify for the EMT-B course, or its equivalent, during their period of probation, and failure to so qualify, shall automatically terminate the probationary firefighter’s right to become a member of the Department, and he or she shall be dropped from the membership rolls.
